Geoff Graham
was born in Berkeley, California, but has lived all over the world. He has a Masters Degree in Egyptology from Yale University as well as a California Teaching Credential, but mostly just loves to create art.
Most of Graham's art is ethnographic, in that it usually represents the spirit of another time and place. Having devoted much energy to the art of ancient Egypt and the cultures of America's North West Coast, Geoff has most recently turned his efforts to his mother's ancestral background, which is South Italian.
Most of Graham's recent work is inspired by pieces made in the fourth century B.C. by Greek settlers around the Bay of Naples, not far from the home of his relatives in Campania. His Mother's family name is Vecchia, and hence the name of one his collections: Villa Vecchia.
